SQUISHEE EXCURSION—Bonnie and I made the trek to the Burbank 7-11 to check out the Kwik-E-Mart. The line was about 15 minutes long when we got there, but apparently stretched to over an hour later in the day. We each got a squishee with a souvenir twisty straw, a six-pack of Buzz Cola, and a box of Krusty-Os. All the employees were in proper Kwik-E-Mart uniforms and were very friendly despite the crowd. The manager told us they were staying a Kwik-E-Mart until the 31st, but feared they’d run out of theme merchandise by the end of the week. At 5 PM they were hoping for a third truckful of Simpsons stuff to arrive because they were running low, despite rationing to only one Krusty-Os box and one six-pack per person.
